Day 2 - Kuang Si Waterfall and Pak Ou Caves

Experience the charm of Luang Prabang with a comprehensive city tour, exploring its historic temples, vibrant markets, and serene streets.  Then, embark on a scenic boat journey to the Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of Buddha statues are nestled within limestone cliffs. Day 3 - Luang Prabang – City tour, and Departure

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual.

Advice on Clothing:

For this trip, we recommend wearing light, breathable fabrics suitable for warm weather, as Laos can be hot and humid, especially during the day. When visiting temples, modest attire that covers your shoulders and knees is required out of respect for local customs. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for city tours and exploring the caves. Additionally, sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen is highly recommended.

Weather: Luang Prabang enjoys a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. The best time to visit is from November to February when the weather is cooler and less humid.

Currency: The official currency is the Lao Kip (LAK). ATMs are widely available in Luang Prabang, and credit cards are accepted at most hotels and larger restaurants.

Safety: Luang Prabang is generally safe for tourists. However, it is always advisable to keep an eye on your belongings and be aware of your surroundings.
